포브스에서 유투브 스타 상위 13명의 수입이 5450만 달라 (약 620억 정도)라고 밝혔다. 다양한 콘텐트로 수익을 올리고 있는데 그들의 공통점은 젊다는 사실 뿐이라고 언급했다.

13명이 유일하게 일치하는 것이 있다면 젊음이다. 대부분이 30대 이하이고, 따라서 그들의 시청자층에 비해 약간 나이가 많을 뿐이다. 그들 중 다수가 낡은 텔레비전보다 유투브를 선호하는 세대이다.
